Spiritual Abuse in the Muslim Community

Last week was heavy. Not only was it terrifying to see the return to power of a tyrannical leader who won in huge numbers by both the popular and electoral vote, it was heartbreaking to hear about the downfall of another well-known Islamic figurehead. The Wisam Sharieff scandal broke me for a few days. If you don’t know what I’m talking about I suggest you start googling. There is a Complaint filed in Federal Courts by the U.S government against the former Dallas-based imam floating around online. It tells the story of a black and white instance of grooming and child sex abuse. The details are so disgusting I don’t even wish to link to them here. If you go in search of it, brace yourself. It’s shocking.
